Originally announced as a comprehensive weekend exploration of all facets of the Drupal content management system, the First Annual GLADCamp (Greater Los Angeles Drupal Camp), originally set for April 26th-28th at USC, has been postponed to 2014. Regardless of the professional conflicts which prevent a free, 100% volunteer-run conference originally envisioned for the Drupal community from occurring at this time, GLADCamp declares confidently that it will announce a brand-new date and venue as soon as both can be secured and confirmed.
The GLADCamp lead organizers wish to thank the many student groups within USC who assisted the conference, as well as all of the speakers and prospective sponsors who have expressed interest in the event. GLADCamp will be glad, so to speak, to consider other spaces in Los Angeles willing to host the summits on non-profit and higher education, sessions, BoFs, job fair and parallel trainings originally intended for its unveiling in April.
In its stead, GLADCamp’s lead organizers will produce Drupal Everywhere, a full-day event focusing on the advancements made in using Drupal’s flexible framework to suit the shift towards mobile and tablet users. This will be the second time Drupal Everywhere will be in Downtown Los Angeles and the first time at Droplabs, a Drupal-friendly classroom and coworking space.
